Hello

After the prologue from yesterday we had a lag from 4 minutes to Sydor/Pfitzenmaier the leaderteam. And we were on the 5. place.
Today we had a very tough race, the climbs were so steep and technical and it was difficult to ride. Sydor was on the head of the field and we saw she never after the first climbing. A short while I drived with Kraft and then we were alone.
After the last feedzone I had crisis, I was so tired, then it was so hot. But I bit me though. After a short session on the asphalt we left it, and must do a lot of short but steep climbing. It was so tough, I could cry!
Finally the last 5 kilometres was coming, I was so glad… but this last 5 kilometres was so long unbelievable. After 5.44 hours we finished the first stage on the Cape Epic 2009.
Our lag to Sydor/ Pfitzenmaier is about 13 minutes and we were about 6 minutes faster as Speedy/Cordes.
In the overall classement we are now on the second place, but it will be difficult to become the first place if the lag is already 17 minutes but the race is still during a long time.
So now I will go to sleep, with it I’m fit tomorrow for the next stage.
